Illustration Friday "Balloon"

The balloon is floating off of the edge of the earth. I also managed to work in a speech balloon.

Done in ink, watercolor, and gouache in a Moleskine watercolor pad.

I just read an interesting fact about RISD. They work their freshmen harder than any other art school. They call it the Harvard of art schools!
We moved out here from Rhody 15 years ago...missin it!

Really great illustration. I love how the water disappears. Great work on working in an extra bubble. I didn't think of that kind of bubble or my character would have said "I could swim faster than this," or "so what if I'm a polar bear who doesn't like icy cold water. Get over it". Again, love love love the illo.:)
